Anyone else would be trying too hard

I just realized it's been 6 years since I watched this. I used to watch this weekly and wear my Hasil Adkins shirt daily. The shirt completely fell apart, and the original upload got taken down. Looks like someone put it back up. Watch it while you can.

RIP Bordertown

http://www.ktvu.com/news/news/local/skatepark-under-oakland-freeway-torn-down/nFpNf/

This is really about so much more than skateboarding.

7 years of hard work and skaters' own money gone in a couple hours. Now it can go back to being a wasteland of drugs and guns. Thanks again, CalTrans.

It's a total bummer, but thanks to the nature of skateboarding and skateboards, another DIY spot will take it's place, and another, and another. They win the battles, we win the war.

This Saturday afternoon in SF

BBQ/Show/Rager at Culture Kids' house. Bands which I've heard are playing(don't hold me to it though...): Us, Forever Baby(members of Pterodacdudes from Fullerton), and the Filth Mongers? I don't know. Just come around 3 or 4 or 5pm with drinks and meat and a crappy attitude, cause that's probably easiest for you. We will purge you of bad vibes through the power of really inept country music.

Oh, here's a nice song:

Money over everything

Not just a Weezy quote, but America's mode of operation. Haven't updated this thing in forever, but I gotta after today.

Thank God for CalTrans, who recognized that the wasteland wasn't actually a positive thing for Oakland. It sure wasn't a place where people of all ages could go skateboard, be productive, and maybe even learn a new skill. The spot that used to be inhabited by crackheads and syringes is much worse with degenerate skateboarders, who took initiative and made something out of worse than nothing. It will look much nicer with a few billboards there instead. And crackheads again. That's what the community needs. Thank you CalTrans.

Oh, here's that slimy stuttering knucklehead in the video's contact info:

Sunset Skatepark

Found 4 butter bench slabs on the street in a pile of garbage, so we made a bench. Made the flatbar a couple months ago for 5 bucks total. Who wants to hire me as a welder????

A few hours, 3 drills, 1 cut wrist, and 50 bucks later: The TROPHY!

Oh yeah, FUCK Alan Steel in Redwood City! Do we look like Stanford students?!

Mix Tape

Came across a bunch of blank tapes a while back, so I made some tapes for some friends who expressed interest in country. Too lazy to make inserts for em, so I'll just post the track list here. If anyone else out there wants one, email me your address and I'll send you one. OR, if you got a tape you'd like to trade me, even better.
